Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The religious significance of Diwali varies regionally within India. In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Diwali is the day when Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman and the entire vanara sena reached Ayodhya after slaying Ravana. Rama’s decisions were always in line with dharma and the Diwali festival is a reminder to maintain our dharma throughout our lives.
Rameshwar Kashi Mutt present building was constructed in 2005. Now the whole building has being renovated. Our Poojaneeya Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji will be having their camp at Rameshwar from 29th November to 8th December. Swamiji will be arriving at Rameshwar from Chennai. Swamiji’s last visit to Rameshwar was in 2014 after their camp at Trivandrum. As per the instructions of our Mathadheesh, many Havans and Homas will be conducted at Rameshwar Mutt. Trivandrum is the nearest GSB community to Rameshwar. Let us utilise this opportunity to visit Rameshwar during this period and offer our sevas and get the “Ashirvaads” of our religious head.
