Indians can never forget 22nd April 2025, when the terrorist attack occurred in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in Anantnag dis-trict of Jammu and Kashmir , killing 26 tourists and injuring around twenty more. One of the deadliest attacks in the region after the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, targeted and massacred Hindu civilians, was reportedly aimed at protesting the demographic changes in the Kashmir Valley . The Resistance Front, an offshoot of the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba , claimed responsibility for the attack. On 7 May, India launched Operation Sindoor with missile strikes targeting the terrorist training camps and infrastructure of Pakistan-based militant groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, and no Pakistani military or civil-ian facilities were targeted. Following these strikes, there were bor-der skirmishes and drone strikes between the two countries. This conflict marked the first drone battle between the two nuclear-armed nations.
Narasimha Jayanti was observed on May 11th with great de-votion. Narasimha Jayanti is one of the most spiritually significant days for devotees of Lord Vishnu, as it marks the divine appear-ance of his fourth incarnation, Lord Narasimha. Narasimha Jayanti is believed to remove negativity, obstacles, and bad luck from life, whether related to health, wealth, career, or relationships. By wor-shipping Lord Narasimha on this day, devotees seek his blessings to overcome fears, defeat injustice, and invite peace and strength into their lives. Our Mathadheesh Srimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji gave a “Vishesh Adesh” to the GSB community to chant Narasimha Stuthi and perform Namaskaram at all GSB temples and households to support our Nation and Veer sainiks during the hour of crisis. This “Adesh”, was carried across all GSB settlements.
The celebrations to mark the beginning of the Janma Satabdi Mahotsav of Gurudev Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji was held at Sri Vyasashram, Haridwar from 9th to 14th April 2025. The celebra-tions commenced on 9th April with Maha Purusha Vidya Anushtana, Sahasra Chandika Yaga Prarambha on 10th April, Sahasra Chandika Havan, Laghu Poornahuti and Gurusmaran on 11th April, Sahasra Chandika Yaga Poornahuti, Shimshumara Aradhana and Ganga Arati on 12th April, Brihati Sahasra Havan and Paduka Digvijayotsav on 13th April. April 14th was celebrated as Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji Janma Shatabdi Divas with 1008 vishesha Pavamana Abhishekas at Vrindavan, Guru Paduka Pushparchana and Mahasabha Sammelan.
Report: Sri Sathyanarayana Pooja for the month of April 2025 was performed on 12th Saturday. Sri N Gopalakrishna Sarma, Sreedevadeyam, Tc 20/2533. S S Street, Karamana Trivandrum was the Yajman. Vishnu Sahasranama, Vyasopasana and bhajans were performed. Monthly Sabha sammelan was held after the Pooja.
GSB Mahasabha Trivandrum celebrated the Swathi Nakshatraradhana, commencement of the Janma Satabdi Mahotsav of our Gurudev Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji on April 14th at Prarthana Mandir, Sree Narasimha Vilas. Vyasopasana, Bhajan Sankeerthan and Guna Gan of Swamiji were performed.
