Samachar December 2025

November 2025 will be remembered by the GSB community in general and Trivandrum mahajan in particular as a sacred chapter illuminated by devotion, unity, and divine grace. It was during this spiritually charged period that long-cherished aspirations found fulfillment with the Divine Shilanyas Mahotsavam of Thiruvananthapuram Shree Kashi Math, held during the auspicious visit of Param Pujya Shrimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji, Mathadhipathi of Shree Kashimath Samsthan-Varanasi.

The journey towards this momentous occasion began well in advance. Nearly two months of meticulous preparation preceded the Mahotsav, beginning with the confirmation of dates and venue, followed by a General Body Meeting that provided vision and direction. Committees were constituted, responsibilities entrusted, and detailed deliberations ensured that every aspect, ritualistic, administrative, and logistical, was attended to with devotion and diligence. The response from the Samaj was wholehearted, reflecting a shared sense of faith, responsibility, and purpose.

What truly distinguished this occasion was the unprecedented participation of Samajiks at every stage of the event. For the first time in the history of Thiruvananthapuram, the community came together in such magnitude, not merely as organisers, but as active participants in seva. From coordination and hospitality to logistics and cultural arrangements, every responsibility was embraced with bhakti, transforming the Mahotsav into a collective offering at the sacred feet of the Guruparampara.

The arrival of Param Pujya Shrimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji infused the atmosphere with spiritual fervour and reverence. Swamiji was accorded a grand welcome according to the tradition and custom at Vettimuricha Kotta with Veda Vadya ghosham, bhajans and Poorna Kumbha.

Hundreds of members of the Vanitha Vibhag and children in their colourful attires and kalashas adorned the procession. This being Swamiji’s first visit to the capital city of Kerala after ascending the Dharma Peetha in 2016, the moment was one of immense joy and spiritual fulfilment for devotees. Volunteers rendered tireless service from the early hours of the morning until well past midnight, ensuring that every moment of Swamiji’s stay reflected dignity, devotion, and heartfelt hospitality. Their silent and selfless service stood as a living testament to the spirit of seva that guided the entire programme.

Various homas were performed at the Math Construction site as instructed by their Holiness by a team of purohiths under the guidance of Shri Yogesh Bhat. The Divine Bhoomi Puja and Shilanyas ceremony for the Thiruvananthapuram branch of Sree Kashi Math Samsthan was performed by Swamiji on Friday, 21st November 2025, at 11 am, at Vayanasala Junction, near Karikkakam, Thiruvananthapuram Conducted in an atmosphere of profound serenity and spiritual elevation, the ceremony marked a defining moment in the spiritual history of the Samaj.

The proposed branch Math is envisioned as a vibrant spiritual centre and a lasting memorial to the revered Guruvarya, Param Pujya Shrimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji, who attained Samadhi at Haridwar in 2016. The collective prayers of the assembled devotees sanctified the surroundings, imbuing the occasion with divine grace and fulfilment.

The Honorable Governor of Kerala, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, paid respect to Swamiji and sought their blessings. Adding further significance, Princess Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bai of the Travancore royal family, came and paid respects to Swamiji at Rengavilasom Palace.

A particularly moving moment of the visit was Swamiji’s darshan at the sacred Lord Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple. Swamiji was received by the Temple Trustees and Purohiths with veda vadya ghosham with Poornakumbham, symbolising the age old reverence and enduring spiritual bond between Sree Kashi Math Samsthan and the historic temple. This visit stood as a profound reminder of the harmonious relationship between the Math tradition and the spiritual heritage of Thiruvananthapuram.

After days filled with sacred rituals, and deep community bonding, Swamiji departed for their next mokkam to Cherthala on the afternoon of 23rd November 2025. They left behind cherished memories and blessings that will continue to guide, strengthen and inspire the Samaj in the years to come. For the GSB community of Thiruvananthapuram, November 2025 was more than a sequence of events; it was a reaffirmation of collective faith, disciplined seva, and the living presence of the Guruparampara in the lives of devotees.

This sacred continuum now extends into the forthcoming punya thithi of param poojya Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji. The 10th Punyatithi of the revered Guruvarya will be observed on Sunday, 28th December 2025.
