Samachar October 2025
With immense joy and devotion, the GSB Samaj of Trivandrum is preparing to welcome Srimad Samyameendra Thirtha Swamiji, the revered Mathadhipathi of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, during their upcoming visit from 19th to 23rd November 2025. This spiritually significant visit will mark a momentous occasion in the history of the Samaj, as it will include the auspicious Shilanyas ceremony of the Trivandrum branch of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, a long-cherished dream that is now becoming a reality.
Swamiji is scheduled to arrive in Trivandrum on the evening of 19th November, from Rameshwaram. During the visit, they will camp at the historic Rangavilasam Palace, located south of Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Upon arrival, a royal and devotional welcome will be accorded to Swamiji, in keeping with the glorious traditions of our Guru Parampara. On 21st November, the Shilanyas ceremony of the Kashi Math Trivandrum Branch will be sanctified and performed by Swamiji. Significantly, this day also coincides with the Punya Tithi of Srimad Bhuvanendra Thirtha Swamiji, one of the most revered saints of our Guru parampara. Swamiji’s arrival also coincides with the beginning of the sacred Murajapam at Padmanabhaswamy Temple on 19th November. This ancient Vedic ritual is held once in six years spanning 56 days of continuous chanting of the Vedas and sacred hymns by hundreds of scholars and priests. The Murajapam is performed as prayers for universal peace and prosperity, culminating with the magnificent Lakshadeepam festival, when the temple glows with the light of one lakh oil lamps.
This period will also witness the Sabarimala season, bringing thousands of pilgrims to the city. As Rangavilasam Palace is situated in the heart of Trivandrum city, the premises will be vibrant and bustling with devotees. All Samajiks are requested to plan their visits accordingly and to extend full cooperation in maintaining the sanctity, order, and smooth functioning of Swamiji’s camp and temple premises. The active participation and committed involvement of all Samaj members, especially those in Trivandrum, will be crucial to the success of this historic occasion. It is not only an honour but a sacred duty to ensure that every aspect of Swamiji’s visit reflects our devotion, discipline, and collective spirit.
